Well the oath I took isn't as historic as the president... but I am now a Deputy of Williamson County, Texas. I have the power to witness & record marriages, and register death and birth certificates in the state.Deputy Shelly.
The County Clerk who Deputized me said that I am an official Deputy of the County. I'm expected to uphold the law in Williamson County.... we don't carry guns but we have heavy books we could throw. :)
